Looking back, the evolution has really been about finding confidence—not just as a songwriter, but as a producer. In the early days, my writing was purely a raw, emotional outlet. It was just about getting the feelings out. Over time, and especially leading up to *The Unwritten Half*, I’ve learned how to shape those raw emotions with much more intention. I’ve become more meticulous about the sonic landscapes I build to accompany the lyrics. I think the biggest shift is that I no longer just write songs; I create entire worlds for them to live in. *The Unwritten Half* represents a version of me that is more experimental, more grounded, and completely unafraid to blend different genres to tell a cohesive story.
“The Unwritten Half” feels like a very personal and ambitious project, exploring different emotions and musical landscapes. What inspired the concept behind the album, and what does the title represent for you personally and artistically?
The concept is deeply rooted in the idea of potential, mystery, and the parts of ourselves we are still figuring out. Artistically and personally, *The Unwritten Half* represents the future, the blank pages, and the stories we haven’t told yet—or the ones we are currently living through but haven’t fully processed. It’s about embracing the unknown. We often spend so much time analyzing our past or dwelling on what’s already ‘written’ in our lives, but there is so much freedom in realizing that the rest of the story is entirely up to us to create.
Your previous albums, “Memories”, “BREAKUP”, and “In Your Head” each explored different emotional worlds. How do you approach creating an album, and how do you decide which stories and feelings become part of each project?
My albums usually form around a specific emotional era of my life. For instance, *BREAKUP* was very centered on that specific, sharp pain and the immediate aftermath of heartache, while *In Your Head* dug into the overthinking, anxiety, and internal dialogue that follows. When I’m creating an album, I don’t usually start with a strict blueprint. I just write and produce constantly. Eventually, a sonic and emotional thread starts to connect certain tracks. It becomes obvious which songs belong together because they speak the same emotional language. The stories that make the cut are always the ones that feel the most honest, even if they’re the scariest to share.
One of your greatest strengths as an artist is your ability to move between powerful pop anthems, emotional ballads, EDM influences, and alt-pop atmospheres. How important is experimentation and genre exploration in your creative process?
It’s absolutely vital to me. I think restricting myself to just one genre would feel like trying to paint a picture with only one color. Human emotions aren’t linear—sometimes heartbreak feels like a quiet piano ballad, and sometimes it feels like a heavy, aggressive EDM drop or a driving pop anthem. Exploration keeps the creative spark alive. Being independent gives me the absolute freedom to experiment with alt-pop atmospheres or cinematic arrangements without having to ask for permission or fit into a rigid radio box.

When I recorded ‘Chapter One’ or ‘Call Me Home,’ I had to let go of trying to sound ‘perfect’ or technically flawless and instead focus on being vulnerable. If a song is intimate and delicate, I want the listener to hear the breath and the hesitation in my voice. If it’s a powerful moment, I want that raw energy to cut through the production. When I’m behind the mic, I’m essentially acting out the emotion of the song, living in that headspace until the take feels honest.

My personal experiences are the foundation of almost everything I write. I’ve always used music to heal and process my life. Looking back at the creative process behind “BREAKUP” and “In Your Head”, releasing two albums so close together was an incredible artistic achievement. What was that period like for you, and did creating those two records change the way you approach music?
That period was a complete whirlwind, both exhausting and incredibly liberating. The music was just flowing out of me so fast that it felt impossible to hold it back. Releasing those projects so close together taught me to trust my instincts completely. It stripped away the habit of overthinking or sitting on music for too long out of fear. It changed my approach by proving to me that I am capable of sustained intense creativity, and it made me much more fearless in my output. It was a massive learning curve in terms of workflow and production endurance.
Your production style often combines modern pop elements with emotional depth and cinematic arrangements. When you enter the studio, what usually comes first for you — the melody, the lyrics, the production idea, or a specific emotion you want to capture?
It almost always starts with a specific emotion or a concept—a feeling that I just can’t shake off. From there, it varies. Sometimes a lyrical line will pop into my head along with a vocal melody, and I’ll rush to the keyboard to find the chords. Other times, I’ll be messing around with a production idea, a synth sound, or a beat loop, and the mood of that track will instantly pull a specific story out of me. Because I produce my own work, the lyric writing and the sonic arrangement often happen simultaneously, influencing each other as the track grows.
You have built a strong connection with your audience through platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, while remaining an independent artist. How has the relationship with your listeners influenced your music and your journey?
My listeners are everything. Being an independent artist can sometimes feel like you’re creating in a vacuum, so having that direct line of communication on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube changes everything. Seeing people use my tracks to soundtrack their own lives, or reading comments about how a song helped someone through a tough night, gives the work a whole new purpose. It keeps me grounded. They inspire me to keep being transparent, because I know they appreciate the real, unfiltered version of who I am.
With “The Unwritten Half” marking another important chapter in your career, what are your hopes for the future? Are there new musical directions, collaborations, or creative goals you would love to explore next?
Right now, my main goal is to keep expanding my skills as a producer and sonic storyteller. I want to dive even deeper into cinematic, atmospheric pop and push the boundaries of my sound design. I’d love to collaborate with other independent producers and vocalists who aren’t afraid to take risks. Ultimately, I just want to keep building this community, reaching new ears, and continuing to challenge myself with every single release. The goal is to never write the same album twice.

I hope they see someone who is entirely authentic and dedicated to the craft.
