With each installment of the CaliAmericana series, the label has built a unique tradition—bringing together gifted musicians who each contribute both a beloved cover and an original composition inspired by the spirit of the featured artist.

Will Breman returns with his original composition “Memphis,” one of the emotional highlights of the compilation. Built upon beautiful guitar arpeggios and an expressive arrangement, the song traces a journey through heartbreak, regret, identity, and eventual healing. Breman’s storytelling ability shines throughout, while his dynamic vocal performance gives every lyric remarkable emotional weight. The second half of the compilation continues its exceptional consistency. Omar Velasco delivers another beautiful performance with “Something in the Way She Moves,” offering an intimate, vibrant rendition that perfectly captures the tenderness of James Taylor’s songwriting.
