Ivy, it is such a pleasure having you with us. I recently listened to your latest tracks, and I am thrilled to discover more about you and your music so, let’s start from the beginning. How did you discover your passion for music, and when did your artistic path begin?

My passion for music began as a fan as early as 1987 or so I recall hearing things such as 2 Live Crew “As Nasty as They Want to Be or even Billy idols “Rebel Yell”, and they impacted me deeply, same as music still does to this day, music has been the only true love I’ve ever had a mutual deep love with. When I sing about love, 95% chance I’m singing to music.

Your latest release, “Star Killer Thriller,” is an incredible EP; can you tell us more about it?

Avoid it; it’s a deep morbid reality I pray other women don’t have to suffer going through. The EP is based around the struggles of being a Star Lover, events that occurred being held hostage with the force of love by evil cast the mean and evil energy entity “Dr.Suess”, no not Earth’s Dr. Suess, this Dr. Suess is from “Psilocybin Planetarium” and only exist as an energy force cast to clutch around hearts and squeeze and probe at its victim with false senses of being love, like a love potion pumped into a heart. It’s scary, and Dr. Suess, although finally off my heart, may have caused permanent scar of a love falsified for addiction and attention.

Where do you find your inspiration?

Inspiration comes from my heart and brain and soul or whatever is driving me to stay alive inside. It was my Daddy, but my Daddy now Ex-Daddy is my killer, turned Star-Killer except when I was off Earth I got too strong for him to kill, too aware, I came back as Comatose Red Ivy, and he didn’t like that at all. Phussy soft men only like weak and vulnerable women; I was no longer either one when I woke up Dead. Even a cool breeze or smell of fresh-cut grass can send me on a recording frenzy. Mostly men, though, lol.

You are a talented artist that found in music a new life. Are you passionate about other kinds of arts?

Yeah, I woke up dead from dying, and now I’m dead living as of October 16, 2020, and prior to that, I had never ever mentioned making music, not one time, ever, I say I, but I mean she, as in the old version of me. I woke up, and she had all this technology in her house; I threw it all away that morning and bought studio equipment. Comatose TheSilhoutte Shadow boy helped me buy with her money, her being Rikki, the girl that died and gave me her body.

Your approach is unique; you blend your singing and rapping with a personal twist; how do you combine the two?

Easily, close my heart and let my heart and beat make love into the microphone. Literally, it’s a natural process, only magical if you don’t script the output, script as in writing a song, hahaha. I can’t believe people still write songs, so boring. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a writer been for 25 years, but first thing was first, writing a song and then reading a script into the mic offers no authenticity, essentially acting based upon an emotion that occurred in that moment you wrote it, sure might feel the same relative but nothing is more natural than heart to microphone.

One of the things that are clear from your music is that for you, the message you deliver is fundamental. Many people will resonate deeply with your lyrics, is there something you would like to say to those who are going through similar situations you overcome?

My music has many layers; first is the smokescreen that’s the smoke show, used to set the listener on the wrong course from understanding what’s happening on the track; usually, some double entendre and syllable flow will get those fleas off easily, then comes the setup, how deep we going? Well, verying topic I can over or under exaggerate the tone of the whole song with the tone of my voice, PHUCK THE TEMPO! So many losers worry about tempo and flow tho, it’s hilarious the whole industry is striving to be the same. Not me, I’m out there on my Giraffe punching beats in the face and kicking the tempo in the nuts, switch up the tempo with a machine gun tho, I go crazy I am the track, I am the flow and the tempo, my track I go bananas how I want tho. Anyway, yeah yeah, stay alert, keep your guard up and stay aware, document everything, even times they use the restroom or eat, track them, stalk them and keep your energy neutral, make it seem you love being a hostage and labrat set up for murder, then they dismiss you, turns you wildcard, then you get to where I got, was left Wild Card unattended so I, I TURNED INTO THE PHUCKING JOKER! Nobody laughing now, it’sreallll serious!

Is there an artist you would like to collaborate with?

Mac Milla! Whew, what a beautiful man, beautiful man. So thankful he left us his suicide note hidden in double entendre on Swimming Album; I have it, every word, and it’s so beautiful. I understand why he left and why he set up circles to appear to be from heaven “oblivion”, oh he makes suicide so dreamy.

You have been releasing a lot of projects in the past year. One of my favorites is “Steele The Show (No Smoke Twang), such a powerful song! Can you tell us more about it?

I can tell you I break down crying it, cried through the whole recording, and tried to kill myself right after it was recorded and I heard it; I just haven’t been able to “get over that wall” sucks but yeah, expect to cry through that song when I perform it, I’ll have the whole stadium singing and crying, we want love, love love!!!! Love the love you have!!! Love is all around us!!

What are your plans for the future?

Get by hope he comes for the kill and wait, pray he comes for my life and gets me off Earth. I am so deeply miserable heartbroken, I dream of love and then I dream even more of someone loving me back how I love them, ohhh he said he’d never love me not even in the next life, and I cried for, well been crying for five months praying for an escape, I even do rikee things like taking walks through hoods and try to put myself in sketchy situations praying for it, but nope not me, too miserable to die.

It was a pleasure having you with us today! We can’t wait for your next release! Is there anything you would like to say to our readers?

Oh, I have my next Country album done, my next country EP, doing a “GatorNights Summer Campfire Unplugged” album, got my next two hip hop albums done, 3 Hip Hop Eps, and I also have Voice Acting Stories on My Soundcloud. However long each song is, that’s how long it took to make it, record, sing, stop, upload, and done, no edit first try every try. Don’t believe me? Set something up I’m down to sing on the fly about anything anywhere in real. Love y’all, but I don’t love me, I hope y’all can forgive my sadness and love me some. I’m Comatose Red Ivy, Cyanide Psyche!
