Keem, thanks a lot for being here with us today at Planet Singer! Your latest single, “2021 Sauce” and “FreeStyle,” are two incredible releases, and we are thrilled to know more about you and your artistic journey. But let’s start from the beginning; When did you discover your passion for music?

I would say I discovered my passion for music through genetics so since birth ..my whole family is big on music especially oldies and hip hop.

Your latest single, “2021 Sauce,” is energetic and captivating from the first second to the last! Can you tell us more about this song?

2021 sauce.Sauce is finessing … or knowing the way. In the song I’m just dropping gems that people can understand in a poetic way which has become one of my signature styles. The cover art was inspired by the title instead of giving sauce in terms of finessing its a dictionary cut out of investment terms in the shape of a bull… the significance is the same.

Where do you find your inspiration?

I find my inspiration in being free and the things I learn and people and my day to day experiences. Hip hop is something I always had interest in so it isn’t hard to find inspiration to make music in everything. I like to think my whole style is Hip Hop, even when I’m not rapping.

Your songwriting is truly unique. Can you reveal what your creative process is? How does your music come to life?

Sometimes I sit and write for hours putting things together. Sometimes it takes a few minutes, seconds even , sometimes I don’t write at all. It just depends on how I feel or feel I need to approach the beat .Most of the time I’m just trying to deliver a bar in as slick of a way as possible …kind of so that it’s a quick stiff jab. That way u have to be on guard for the bar or you’ll miss it. I don’t make music for dummies.

Together with your brothers, you are also CEO of Rather Be Rich Ent(Enterprises). How did this project start?

In River Park towers building 40 apt 26H, we shared a room and my older brother was always into music and entertainment so it was always around us. My younger brother had an outstanding talent and in one of his rhymes he said he rather be rich than famous and me watching people like dame dash p diddy master p and others I always wanted to take the business route but I knew I could rap too so why not make into something bigger.

Not only great music but also great music business, you are also part of a collective based in Philly called COG ent. As an artist and a music business professional, is there any piece of advice you can give to those who are just starting in the music industry?

Believe in yourself. Link with like-minded people and block out as many distractions as possible.

Your previous single, “FreeStyle,” is another great track that tells a lot about your artistic vision. Can you tell us more about this song?

Freestyle is just that. I was in the studio with a few people and just started rapping after hearing the beat. in between i included a spoken word flow so I’m kind of letting people know this is a FREE STYLE meaning I’m not being held by any rules in my rhyming.

What are your plans for the future?

My plans for the future are to keep dropping. More music more videos more content in general.Keep pushing my brand forward and keep being a dope ass rapper.
