Lazy, it is such a pleasure having you with us at Planet Singer today. The first time I listened to your latest single, “Goin Bling,” I felt captivated from start to finish; it is a truly excellent release. Let’s start from the beginning. How did you begin your artistic journey?

My artistic journey started when I was 15, influenced by my older cousin whose currently incarcerated. Due to his influence, I’ve become a creative writer & I began to express myself through music while being an introvert.

“Goin Bling” is an excellent track; can you tell us more about this song?

Well, “Goin Bling“ is a fun type of song; me personally, I wasn’t really saying anything at all but just speaking on jewelry, honestly. I like diamonds, and at the moment, I was “Goin bling“ with some permanent diamond teeth.

One thing I love about your style, which is evident in your latest track, is that the lyrics go straight to the point, while the production and the beat are brilliant. Can you reveal your creative process?

Once I hear the beat, I’m looking for a concept and once I find a concept, it’s up from there.

What inspires you?

Life inspires me; just Living in freedom every day is a blessing, and I wasn’t capitalizing at all; I was lost, so to say, but it’s safe to say I’m finding my way back.

You will release a second single soon; I would love to know more about it! Will it follow the same vibes of “Goin Bling”?

No, I’ll be releasing an ep called “Goin Krazy,“ just to put some music out there.

Among the songs of your discography, I also love your track “Act Up,” what’s the story behind this one?

Oh, “Act Up“ was a remix originally made by the City Girls, and once I heard the beat, I knew for a fact I’ll snap on that beat, and I did, honestly.

Your songwriting is firm and always on point, and you clearly trust your team when it comes to the whole production process. Time and experience shape artists in many ways. If you could travel back in time, what advice would you give to younger Lazy?

The advice that I’ll give younger Lazy is that this is your path and everyone you love can’t come on this journey, so don’t beat yourself up, and if people can’t understand your vision, just keep pushing; they’ll see later on.

You are from beautiful Florida; what’s the music scene like there?

The music scene in Florida is crazy because it’s artists emerging everywhere, it’s artists blowing up in the city, and it’s other artists blowing up through the internet. I’m just proud I’m one of the artists putting on for Florida.

The digital algorithm now rules the music industry. Do you think Spotify and the other digital platforms help artists in the long run, or do you feel like the music industry will change again soon?

Yeah, it’s helping artists get heard & the music industry changes every day & everything is becoming digital, so in the near future, I won’t be surprised if I hear Siri start rapping lol.

What are your plans for the future? An Album? We would love a full-length release!

The plans for the future is just putting out content in a strategic way; I’m moving more like a label now, time released music, reaching out to bloggers, doing press runs, and honestly, I’m starting to love this side of the music business , I have a few projects lined up for this year.

Lazy, it was such a pleasure having you with us today; thanks again for taking the time for this chat. We can’t wait for your next release. Is there something you would like to say to our readers?
